Deanna Landers

Founder, President

Deanna has over 20 years of business and professional project management experience.  She was the Project Management Profession Leader for IBM's Global Technology Services organization, and served on several committees within IBM's Project Management Center of Excellence, including the Curriculum Development Committee.  

She also served for 6 years on the international board of directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI), leading the board as Chair in 2013. Deanna served on the Executive Committee of IEEE Smart Village, that has the goal to light the world.

In addition to the PMP credential, she has earned a Masters degree in business administration, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and a Spanish language proficiency certification.

Peter Monkhouse

Director, Administration

Peter Monkhouse is currently President of MonkArt, providing consulting and training services to organisations to help them implement their strategic plans.  In addition, Mr. Monkhouse teaches project management courses at Ryerson University, University of Toronto, and University of Calgary.Mr. Monkhouse’s career is built on over 35 years of project and leadership experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Monkhouse has actively led projects and project managers in the areas of education, consulting, engineering, information technology, health, and organizational change for multinational organizations. 

In a recent role, Mr. Monkhouse successfully coached, mentored and worked with project managers across six continents. Mr. Monkhouse has been an active volunteer with PMI for over 20 years and is presently Secretary of the PMI Education Foundation Board of Directors.  Previously he served on the PMI Board of Directors for 6 years and was the Chair of the 2012 PMI Board.  Mr. Monkhouse is past president of the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter; and has served on a number of Member Advisory Groups (MAGs).

In the fall of 2007, Mr. Monkhouse assumed the position of Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee for the ISO PC236 which led to the development of ISO21500. Mr. Monkhouse received his BSc (Engineering) from Queen’s University and his MBA from the University of Toronto.  He obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential in 1999, and in May 2008 he graduated from the PMI® Leadership Institute Master Class.


Lynn Shannon

Director, Volunteer Relations


Lynn Shannon, B.Ed.,PMP, resides in Toronto, Canada and is a program director with over 25 years’ experience working in communications, media and financial industries. Over the course of her career she has worked for many leading Canadian book, magazine and newspapers publishers launching both print and digital products and services. She has led teams of editors, designers, developers, project managers and business analysts and specializes in new development and change management.Originally trained as a teacher, she has recently returned to her educational roots and is now actively involved in training. Lynn has been an instructor for over five years in the Certificate in Project Management Program at the University of Toronto.

Lynn obtained her PMP in 2003 and has been an active volunteer for PMI since then. She is a Past President of PMI Toronto Chapter and is currently PMI’s Region Three Mentor; which includes 18 PMI Chapters from Canada and the United States.

In her new role as Director of Volunteer Relations for PMWB, Lynn is excited about continuing to engage project management volunteers.

Marisa Silva

Director, Programs, Manager

Marisa Silva, the Lucky PM, is an experienced certified PMO and PPM consultant, trainer, and speaker, with a track record of building capabilities in complex organizations undergoing transformational change.

A passionate advocate of the value of PMOs and project management, she is a Committee Member of the APM PMO SIG (UK) and Programs Director at PMWB, Project Managers Without Borders.

Marisa is the author of “Bedtime Stories for Project Managers” and the founder of in2PMO, a specialist PMO and business transformation consultancy firm dedicated to help organizations deliver impactful and sustainable business value from their PMOs, projects and programs.

Catalin-Teodor Dogaru

Director, Technology

Catalin-Teodor Dogaru, MBA, PhD, PMP, is a trainer, consultant and managing partner at TSP( He is an enthusiast of project, process and program management that constantly seeks out the talent and novelty in this professional domain.

LIMC Alumni, MBA and PMP certified, Catalin managed international projects (in Europe, Middle East and Africa), offering, at the same time, dedicated learning sessions that helped growing the project management community.

His games, sense of humor, engagement and tenacity are just a few of the elements contributing to the delivery of successful trainings, workshops and presentations, to which participants are always willing to return.


Karen Cherrill

Director, Client Relations

Karen has been working on international engineering and construction projects for over 30 years. She has worked in both project and corporate roles for multi-national contractors, and more recently is a Director of Kingsfield Consulting based in the UK.  

A chemical engineer by training, she now focuses more on the commercial and risk aspects of project delivery for Kingsfield's clients around the world.  Most of her clients are project managers who are facing the challenges of delivering massively complex projects in short timescales and with diverse teams.  

Karen has been volunteering with PWMB for over a year now and heads up the Client Relations team who are spreading the word about how we can share our project management expertise with those in need.
